The health benefits of rice sevai include its ability to provide instant energy, regulate, and improve bowel movements, and stabilize blood sugar levels. It also plays a role in providing vitamin B1 to the human body. Shavige Payasam is a very popular delicious sweet dish in India that has occupied its place in each and every home due to the ease with which is made and great taste.

Rice sevai-1 cup, water-1 cup, cashew-few, grated coconut-1/4 cup, ghee-2 tsp, milk-3 cup and sugar-1 cup
1. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan. Roast cashews & grated coconut. Keep aside.
2. In the same ghee, roast the rice sevai.
3. Boil 1 cup of water and 3 cup of milk in a saucepan. When it comes to boil, add sevai. Let it cook in low to medium flame. After its well cooked, add sugar.
4. Mix well and boil for few minutes till all the sugar dissolves.
5. Lastly, add roasted cashews and grated coconut. Switch off the flame.
This payasam will thicken once it is cooled down. So, adjust the quantity of milk. Refrigerate, cool and serve OR serve warm as you like.
