Steamed Veg Balls

Peas are rich sources of many minerals such as iron, calcium, zinc, copper, manganese etc. which enhances your immunity. Carrots are particularly a good source of beta-carotene, fiber, vitamin K, potassium and antioxidants. Potatoes are rich source of carbohydrate which provides energy. Steamed orange green veg balls is a very healthy and tasty dish enriched with the goodness of all mentioned vegetables which makes it a better breakfast or snacks option.

    Ingredients to make Steamed Veg Balls:

    Potatoes-1 small, green peas -½ cup, carrot- 1 small, and oil-1 spoon

    Steps to make Steamed Veg Balls:

    1. Pressure cook potatoes with a little water for about 2 whistles in the pressure cooker. We want the potatoes only par-boiled. Once boiled; keep them aside to air dry. Peel and grate along with carrot.

    2. Mix together grated potatoes, carrot and green peas in a mixing bowl and make small balls.

    3. Line the steamer with oil and place the balls on them.

    4. Steam for 5 minutes.

    5. As soon as you take the balls out of steamer, they will look a little soggy. Let them sit for a minute before serving.

    Serve hot with ketchup or with favorite chutney.
