This is a simple straight-forward recipe that will make your child and you relish and enjoy the delicious tastes. These two berries are good sources of folic acid and iron.

1 cup strawberries, ½ cup raspberries, 2 tsp. lemon juice, ½ cup sugar, a pinch of salt, 2 tsp. powdered gelatine, water as required.
1. Combine the sugar, strawberries, raspberries and 1 tbsp. water in a saucepan and stir over low heat for 5 minutes or until the raspberries break down and the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
2. Mix gelatine powder in half cup boiling water and whisk rapidly until gelatine is thoroughly dissolved. Add the gelatine mixture to the berry mixture and stir well.
3. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve placed over a bowl. Do not press on the solids. Pour the juice into moulds and refrigerate for half an hour or until the jelly is well set.
Offer this to your child and watch him enjoy these exciting 2 berries flavours.
