Theplas are crunchy yummy snacks which you can enjoy any day . If you are travelling, they are the best choice to satisfy the hunger. Theplas are healthy and easy to make . They don’t consume much oil . Let’s learn to make theplas.

    Ingredients to make Theplas:

    1 cup wheat flour, ¼ cup table spoon besan, 1 tablespoon bajra, 1 tablespoon jowar flour, salt to taste, 1 teaspoon oil, ½ cup dahi

    Steps to make Theplas:

    1. In a bowl ,mix all the dry flours.

    2. Add curd and salt to taste. Curd is added to make the theplas soft.

    3. Knead very well till you get a dough, firm enough to make chapattis. Add required amount of water to knead.

    4. Allow dough to rest for 10 minutes.

    5. Divide into equal portions.

    6. Roll into thin round theplas.

    7. Heat a skillet and add a teaspoon of oil.

    8. Place the rolled thepla on the skillet.

    9. When it turns golden brown, flip to other side, add little oil and roast till it turns brown.

    Mouth watering Theplas are ready. Remember that adding curd makes theplas soft but reduces shelf life. So, if you want to take theplas for travel, it’s better to skip the curd. Enjoy theplas with pickles.
