Tizann is great comfort food, which can be enjoyed as a breakfast in the form of a porridge or as a dessert in the form of chilled pudding. Ragi is rich in protein and fiber.

    Ingredients to make Tizann:

    1 cup nachani/ragi/finger millet (soaked in water for 4 hours), 1 cup grated coconut, 1 cup or as per taste Goa pyramid jaggery/palm jaggery, a pinch of salt

    Steps to make Tizann:

    1. grind nachani along with coconut and water to a fine paste.

    2. Extract the milk/ juice using a muslin cloth.

    3. Mix grated jaggery and salt to the extract and heat it.

    4. Keep stirring continuously till the mixture thickens.

    Offer it either in the form of porridge or dessert.
