Hot Wholesome Sattu Halwa

Sattu, also known as roasted chickpea flour is highly rich in protein and has essential vitamin and minerals. With milk, which is rich in calcium and jaggery, which is rich in carbohydrates and magnesium, you can prepare superb and nutritious sattu halwa.

    Ingredients to make Sattu Halwa:

    1 litre milk, 2 tbsp jaggery, 2 tbsp Sattu flour, ¼ tsp cardamom powder, 1 tsp ghee.

    Steps to make Sattu Halwa:

    1. In a vessel, add milk, jaggery and Sattu flour.

    2. Keep stirring and bring the mixture to a boil. The milk will split because of jaggery and the saline texture of Sattu Flour.

    3. Lower the flame when the mixture starts to splutter. Add the cardamom powder.

    4. Keep stirring till the mixture starts to thicken. Now switch off the flame and allow it to cool. Add a tsp of ghee and give a mix.

    Hot wholesome sattu halwa is ready to sweeten your taste buds.
