Racking your brains for something new? No worries – we have for you a delicious soup made with chickpeas which all will love. Chickpeas are an excellent source of protein, iron, and other essential vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients to make Chickpea Soup:
1/4 cup white chickpeas soaked and drained, 1 tbsp oil, 1/4 cup chopped onions, 1 tsp chopped garlic, 1 tbsp masoor dal, 1 tsp cardamom powder, 1 tsp roasted jeera powder, 1/2 cup boiled chopped potatoes, 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes, 3 cups hot water, salt to taste.
Steps to make Chickpea Soup:
1. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker, add the onions and garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till the onions turn translucent.
2. Add the chick peas, masoor dal, cardamom powder, jeera powder, potatoes, tomatoes, hot water and salt, mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
3. Open the lid and mash well with a spoon. Serve hot.
