As it merges the health benefits of both the rice and curd, this easy recipe is too good for your overall health. Curd is a super source of protein and calcium, and rice adds energy to the whole dish!

    Ingredients to make Plain Mosranna:

    Rice, curd, pomegranate, milk

    Steps to make Plain Mosranna:

    1. Cook rice in enough water until fully cooked.

    2. Cool the cooked rice. Combine the rice and 2 tbsp of water in a deep bowl and mash it lightly.

    3. Add salt, curds and mix well. Add milk to give the curd rice a creamy texture.

    4. Heat the oil in a small broad non-stick pan add the mustard seeds and urad dal and sauté on a medium flame for 30 seconds.

    5. Add the tempering to the prepared curd-rice mixture and mix well.

    Add pomegranate seeds and coriander leaves and serve!
