An amalgamation of health and taste is a key to win the heart of anyone. Add protein to your diet through soya fritters and enjoy the fried but healthy munching snack. Soya is one of the richest sources of vegetarian protein and serves many health benefits.
1 cup soya granules, 1 large potato boiled, 1 tbsp coriander leaves, 1 tbsp cornflour, 1 tbsp gram flour (besan), 1 onion, a pinch of ginger,1 garlic clove, refined oil for frying, salt and pepper according to taste
1. Take hot water in a pan and soak soya granules for about 10 minutes.
2. Strain the granules, wash in fresh water and squeeze them to extract excess water.
3. Mash a boiled potato in a big bowl. Add soya granules, coriander leaves, chopped onion, ginger, garlic, salt and pepper to it.
4. Add corn flour and gram flour next. Mix all of the ingredients to make a consistent mixture.
5. Make small balls out of the mixture and keep them aside.
6. Heat refined oil in a deep frying pan. Fry the prepared balls of Soya Fritters until turns golden brown.
7. Serve them with cheesy dip or tomato ketchup.
To make them crispy coat the balls with semolina or breadcrumbs before frying. It is recommended to use homemade tomato ketchup.
