This art activity is very helpful to teach your kiddo about his senses especially the sense of touch. It will also help to boost your kiddo’s confidence level and help in developing his fine motor and creativity skills.
Requisites: Red and pink watercolor or paint, small bowl or dish, kitchen sponges, scissors, clothespins, white construction paper.
Steps:
1. Take the color or paint of your kiddo’s choice and pour it into the bowl or the dish.
2. Take a kitchen sponge and cut out the heart shapes from it.
3. Remember to cut out the shapes of the medium size as small size shapes is difficult to pick up for your kiddo.
4. Attach a clothespin to the back of the sponge. This will serve as a handle and will make easier for your child to pick up the sponge and dip it in the color or paint.
5. Now show your child how to dip and encourage him to dip by himself and start printing the hearts on the paper.
6. Let your kiddo to create his own design.
7. If your kiddo gets little messy, let him and don’t stop him.
