Fluency, Imaginative, Expressive

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

Your child should be speaking fluently and clearly in the language you speak at home by now. They will be able to easily narrate happenings at school or other events and tell stories with wide range of ideas. They would have developed an idea on the past, present and future tenses and fair understanding of grammar. Their ability to pronounce the words properly is developed and this give them enthusiasm to read small stories and books on their own. They would not hesitate to read out aloud.

    Encourge to communicate

Encourage them to read as this will help them to build up their vocabulary. You can see that they try to communicate to you in different words when they feel you have misunderstood what they want you to understand. It is also important to note that children’s enhancement of speech and language is based on the culture, economic status and the environment they are surrounded with. They will also use gestures to explain the conversations. Some children of this age can also write letters to family and friends describing elaborately and use more imaginations. With friends of same age they also form code words and languages.
