You can flavour this Kaccha aam khichdi with turmeric that boosts your immunity. Adding urad dal, which is a good source of vitamin and minerals, results in a wholesome and yummy khichdi. You can also add peanuts to this khichdi.

Ingredients to make Kaccha Aam Khichdi:
½ cup rice, ¼ cup grated kaccha aam, 1 tsp oil, ¼ tsp urad dal, ¼ tsp fried and powdered peanuts, a pinch of turmeric, salt as per taste
Steps to make Kaccha Aam Khichdi:
1. Wash and soak rice for 15 mins.
2. In a pressure pan, add oil. Once the oil is warm, add the urad dal.
3. Once the urad dal changes colour slightly, add the grated kaccha aam and saute for 2 mins.
4. Add the washed rice, turmeric and salt. Mix well.
5. Add 1.5 cups of water. Pressure cook the khichdi for 3 whistles.
6. Once the cooker cools down, add the powdered peanuts and give a thorough mix.
7. Serve kaccha aam khichdi hot.
With few ingredients, this delicious khichdi is super tasty as well as filling and will be loved.
