Using channa dal, which is rich in protein and jaggery, which has carbohydrates, you can prepare a sweet dish called Sweet Supper. Flavouring the dish with coconut milk, jaggery and rice flour will make this sweet very delicious.

1/2 cup channa dal, 1 cup grated coconut, 3 tbsp rice flour, 1 cup jaggery, ½ tsp cardamom powder, 1 cup water
1. Wash the channa dal and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles in 2 cups of water.
2. Add little water to grated coconut and get the first extract of coconut milk. This will be thick. In the same way, get the second extract of coconut milk, which will be thin. Keep these extracts of milk separate.
3. Prepare the jaggery syrup by melting jaggery in little water. Filter the impurities.
4. In a bowl, add the thin coconut milk. Add the rice flour and mix well. Ensure no lumps are formed. Also, add the jaggery syrup and give a good mix.
5. Add the above mixture to the cooked channa dal and bring to a boil, stirring continuously.
6. Finally, add the thick coconut milk. Keep on medium flame for 1 minute. Add the cardamom powder.
Enjoy this yummy dessert.
