Rava is made from durum wheat, so it has good amount of fiber. That’s why it is digested slowly and keeps your stomach full and prevents from overeating. It improves kidney function due to its potassium content. It is ideal for all those living an active lifestyle. It keeps the body charged throughout the day, helps to perform better and prevents the general sense of lethargy felt during afternoons mostly. Rava Fruit Kanji is a sweet dish that has the goodness of many fruits along with rava. It is an easy to cook dish and a better option for breakfast.

    Ingredients to make Rava Fruit Kanji:

    Rava-1 cup, ghee-1 tsb, mix fruits(apple, pear, pineapple, pomogranate arils and banana)-1 cup, cardamom powder-1/4 tsp, safforn strands-few, and water-3 cups

    Steps to make Rava Fruit Kanji:

    1. Wash and cut all the fruits and mix together. Keep aside.

    2. In a pan, roast the rava in ghee for a couple of minutes and set aside.

    3. Add water to the pan. Bring it to a boil. Simmer it and add the rava. Give it a stir.

    4. Cook till all the water is absorbed and rava is cooked.

    5. Mix in the mix fruit pieces, saffron strands, and cardamom powder.

    Serve fresh topped with some raisins.
