Travel Insurance for Hungary From India

Medical Coverage

The medical and accidental coverage includes: 

• Sudden Hospitalisation: ACKO settles the hospital bill directly if you are admitted to a hospital while travelling in Hungary. You can either choose medical reimbursement or cashless treatment.  
• Hospital Daily Allowance: If an accident or illness occurs during your trip to Hungary and you are admitted to the hospital, we will provide a daily cash allowance of $75/day for up to 10 days. 
• Physiotherapy: In case you suffer an accident that requires physiotherapy during your Hungary trip, we will reimburse you for the cost up to the limit specified in the policy.  
• Travel Expenses of an Immediate Relative: If you are admitted to the hospital for more than 48 hours, we will reimburse up to $5,000 for a family member to visit you.
• Emergency Stay and Extension: You can extend your stay in Hungary due to hospitalisation, and we will reimburse you for the costs incurred.  

Baggage Coverage

The baggage coverage in your policy includes:

• Total Loss of Checked-in Baggage: A specified amount will be paid in case of total loss of checked-in baggage caused by the flight operator on which you are travelling. 
• Partial Loss of Checked-in Baggage: ACKO will reimburse you if your baggage is damaged and lost.  
• Delay of Checked Baggage: If your baggage is delayed for more than 3 hours, we will reimburse you in accordance with our policy.

Trip Coverage

For trip coverage, the following are some of the inclusions that we offer:

• Delayed or Missed Flight: When your flight is delayed for more than 6 hours upon arrival, we will provide you with $75 USD to cover the inconvenience. If you miss a connecting flight due to a delay, we will provide you with $10,900 USD. 
• Trip Rescheduling: You can reschedule your trip. We will cover additional expenses up to $750 USD if the rescheduling is due to hospitalisation for more than 48 hours or a natural catastrophe. 
• Trip Cancellations: At ACKO, we will provide you with up to $750 USD if your trip is cancelled due to sudden hospitalisation, COVID-19 infection, or a government-mandated quarantine. 

Other Coverage

Apart from the mentioned coverages, these are some other coverages that we give:

• Pet Coverage: For the medical treatment costs of your pet if it suffers an injury during the travel period, ACKO will reimburse you as per policy terms.
• Fire Coverage: We will offer reimbursement for the actual loss or damage to your home caused by fire during the travel period. 

Add Ons

Hungary travel insurance add-ons enhance the overall safety of your trip. These add-ons are:

• Bounced Booking: If your hotel booking in Hungary is unexpectedly denied by the service provider during your travel period, we will pay you a booking loss of up to $500 USD and find an alternative accommodation in the same city. 
• Adventure Sports Injury: This add-on will provide you with extra cover for medical expenses in case of sudden injuries or emergencies that may happen to you during adventure sports.  

• Try to choose insurance policies that are digitally accessible so you can access them anytime, anywhere. 
• Compare and research multiple insurance policies before finalising.
• Double-check which situations are not covered under the policy. 
• Confirm that your policy covers your entire travel duration.
• Ensure the insurance covers all Schengen countries, including Hungary.
