TVS Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180 Get Costlier

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has affected India’s economy and has led to several changes across industries. In the two-wheeler industry, the TVS Motor Company has resorted to price hikes for its offerings. In the latest move, they have increased the purchase price of two of its popular two-wheeler models – Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180. Now, you will have to pay more than the previous asking price to own these two models. TVS has hiked the purchase price of the two of its oldest premium commuter two-wheeler models by a margin. You will have to pay INR 2,000 more to buy the TVS Apache RTR 160 (BS6 Compliant). The INR 2,000 hike applies to both its disc and drum variants. If you favour the TVS Apache RTR 180 (BS6 Compliant), you will have to pay INR 2,500 more. This is the first price hike for the BS6 RTR 180 model.
TVS Motors Hikes BS6 Apache RTR 160 4V Prices in India

Among several other automobile manufacturers, TVS Motors announced that it has hiked the prices of the newly launched BS6 Apache RTR 160 4V. This is the second price hike on the BS6 Apache RTR 4V. The recent price hike of Rs.2000 while the previous hike was Rs.1000. TVS Motors retails the model in two variants: drum and disc. The ex-showroom price of the BS6 Apache RTR 160 4V is Rs.1,02,950 for the drum variant while the disc variant is priced at Rs.1,06,000. All prices are ex-showroom (Delhi). The bike derives power from a 159.7cc single-cylinder engine which is capable of producing a maximum power of 16hp and a peak torque of 14Nm. The unit is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Apart from the new styling to the exterior, the BS6 version has also received several new features. For better rideability in the traffic, the bike features Glide Through Technology (GTT) and new all-LED headlights.
TVS Launched BS6 Apache RTR 180 2V in India

Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS has launched the BS6 complaint Apache RTR 180 with a price tag of Rs.1.01 lakh ex-showroom. In comparison to the BS4 version, the BS6 versions is expensive by Rs.6,704. The new BS6 model continues to draw power from a 177.4cc single-cylinder engine, which now comes with an oil-cooler, produces 16.79PS and 15.5Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Apart from the BS6 compliant engine, the BS6 Apache 180 gets FI as well. The kerb weight of the BS6 model is 141kgs, up from 139kg of the BS4 Apache RTR 180. While the engine has been updated to BS6 complaint, there are no cosmetic changes to the new vehicle.
