In Rajasthan, where 29.46% of the population falls below the poverty line, accessing quality healthcare remains a significant challenge. To address this, the Rajasthan government launched the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Yojana, a revolutionary scheme designed to provide cashless health insurance coverage up to Rs 25 lakhs to all eligible families in the state.
This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses, ensuring that healthcare is accessible to everyone, especially those who are economically disadvantaged.
Latest Update on Chiranjeevi Yojana:
Rajasthan's Chiranjeevi health insurance yojana is set to merge with the Ayushman Bharat program, forming the Ayushman Bharat Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme.
This integration aims to maintain the Chiranjeevi scheme's ₹25 lakh coverage in both private and government hospitals, ensuring continued benefits for over 1.42 crore families. The move aligns with national health insurance efforts and prepares for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with new card issuances by January 26.

The yearly premium of this plan is just Rs. 850, i.e. about Rs. 70.8 per month.
