Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Third-party and Comprehensive Insurance Policy?
Buying a Third-party Insurance is mandatory as per The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. It covers only the damages caused to the third-party involved in an accident with your insured Tata Safari.
A Comprehensive Insurance Policy will cover you against damages caused to your Tata Safari along with the benefits of a Third-party Insurance Policy.
My Tata Safari insurance policy has expired a few months back, is an inspection necessary for the new policy?
Yes, if there is a time gap between the expiry and the renewal of Car Insurance Policy, your Tata Safari may require another round of inspection.
Is an online policy considered to be valid?
100% yes, buying an online policy is as good as buying an offline policy.
I just bought a new Tata Safari and had another car earlier, will my No Claim Bonus be continued?
Yes, if your earlier car was of the same class and type, your No Claim Bonus will be continued to the new car after completing the formalities. Utilizing your NCB will help you reduce your affordable car insurance premium on renewal.
How does NCB work in case I buy a second-hand car? Will I get No Claim Bonus?
As a new owner, it’s your obligation to get the existing car insurance transferred in your name within the specified period from the date of transfer of RC book.
In case you have an old policy with accumulated NCB, it can be transferred by submitting a retention letter to the new insurer.
