What is the Penalty for Non-Payment of Road Taxes in Karnataka

In Karnataka, if you miss the deadline to pay your road tax, you don't need to worry. The reason is that the government gives you an extra year to pay road tax without penalties. During this time, you can keep using your vehicle on state roads without issues. But be careful; if you still haven't paid after this one-year grace period, you might face a hefty penalty imposed by the government.

Now, if you manage to pay within the initial 30 days of the allowed delay period, you're in the clear – no extra charges. But, if you let it go beyond that, your vehicle could get impounded until you settle the overdue road tax.
