TVS Motors Launches BS6 TVS Jupiter ZX with Disc Brakes in India

TVS Motors has launched the BS6 TVS Jupiter ZX with disc brake. The new variant of the TVS Jupiter is priced at Rs. 69,052. It also features the company’s iTouch Start silent-start system. This is the only variant with the disc brake in the TVS Jupiter family. The variant also gets a new all-in-one lockset which includes ignition system and fuel-cap and seat lock release. The scooter derives power from a BS6 109.7cc engine that is competent enough to produce a maximum power of 7.5hp and a peak torque of 8.4Nm and comes paired with a CVT gearbox. The scooter gets a telescopic suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, 21-litre boot space and an LED headlight. The scooter is available in three paint schemes: Royal Wine, Starlight Blue and Matte Starlight Blue. The TVS Jupiter competes with the likes of Honda Activa and the Hero Pleasure+ in the Indian market.

TVS Motor Company has yet again increased the price of their popular scooter TVS Jupiter. It is now available for about Rs. 63,102 onwards depending upon the variant and the location of purchase. One can choose from three variants of TVS Jupiter, the standard variant, Classic, and ZX. The variant ‘Classic’ starts from Rs 69,602 onwards. After government orders, TVS started selling the BS6 emission norm compliant two-wheelers. It is speculated that the upgradation related to the engine may be causing continuous price hikes. In terms of features, Jupiter’s 109cc single-cylinder engine can produce 7.99 PS @ 7500 rpm of power at peak torque. It comes with telescopic fork suspension and 3-step preload-adjustable mono-shock. TVS Motors has increased the prices of its Jupiter scooter range in the country. The BS6 TVS Jupiter is now priced at Rs.62,062 compared to the launch price of Rs.61,449. Prices are as per ex-showroom cost. The BS6 TVS Jupiter ZX is now priced at Rs.64,062 while the BS6 TVS Jupiter Classic is priced at Rs.68,562. The TVS Jupiter with its BS6 engine draws from a 110cc single-cylinder unit which produces a maximum power of 7.37hp and peak torque of 8.4Nm. The new Jupiter now comes with drum brakes at both ends and competes with the likes of Honda Activa 6G in the Indian market.

The BS6 Ntorq Race Edition is priced at Rs.72,455 ex-showroom (Delhi). The NTorq continues to draw power from the 124.79cc single-cylinder engine which is updated to meet the BS6 norms.
