1. Transit Visa

Transit Visa is given to individuals travelling to a different country via Indonesia. This Visa is offered to an individual and is valid for 14 days from the date of arrival in Indonesia.  

2. Visit Visa

4. Diplomatic Visa

Applications for diplomatic visas are filled up only by people with diplomatic or service passports. The application for this Visa must be supported with official letters. The tenure for this Visa is for six months.

5. Visa on Arrival

Indonesia has friendly relations with certain countries. The individuals of these countries are allowed visas on arrival without any particular forms or applications. This Visa on arrival is valid for a month and can be extended under specific conditions. Let us check some conditions relevant to applying for a visa on arrival and whether you are eligible for it:

Return journey ticket: You must carry proof of your return journey with you. This could be a ticket back to your home country or any other country you would visit after Indonesia.

Photograph: You will need a copy of your recent photograph matching the photo requirements provided on the Indonesian website.

Sponsor letter: If you are applying for a Visit visa, you will need a sponsor letter. This sponsor letter comes from the person or institution inviting the individual to the country, who could be a family member, a friend, or an organisation. This sponsor letter should have the sponsor's details, especially the sponsor id.

Authorisation letter: You will need an Authorisation letter if you are looking to apply for a visa for a limited stay. The Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia should  grant you the letter.

Diplomatic letter: This letter is only mandatory if you are applying for Service or Diplomatic Visa. This letter should have information about the diplomat and the reason for the diplomat's visit.

Indonesia Visa Photo Requirements

Here are the key photo requirements you need to follow during your visa application process.

  • Your photograph must be recently taken (clicked within the recent 6 months).

  • The size of the photo needs to be 50mm x 50mm.

  • The background in the photograph must be white only.

  • The photo must be coloured and not black and white.

  • The expression of the person in the photo should be neutral.

  • The person in the photograph should be directly looking at the lens of the camera.

  • No headgear is allowed unless worn for a religious purpose. 

  • The applicant must avoid wearing glasses to cover their eyes unless required for a medical reason.

  • Regular clothing is required, hence the applicant should not wear a uniform.
